PERMITS
Pick up permit applications at the Township office or by downloading printable forms below. Completed paperwork must be delivered in person to the office during regular business hours, accompanied with any appropriate fees. All permits will be issued upon approval.
Permits are to be obtained prior to work being started. Call the Township if you are not certain if a permit is required.
BUILDING/ZONING
Building & zoning permits are required for any structural changes, new construction, additions, decks, basement renovations, garages, sheds, signs, porches, roofing, siding, driveways, swimming pools, change in use, occupancy, excavation.
A new Township building permit is now available (2008). Contact the Township office for more information.

Burning permits are available at the Township office.
ROAD SERVICES
The Township has a street crew that keeps the streets in good repair, collects leaves, salts the roadways, plows snow, cuts grass on township property and malls, updates street signs and other highway work. The Township has four trucks to maintain 24 miles of roads. There are also five miles of state highway for a total of 29 miles of roadway.
Township residents are responsible for taking care of trees and curbs & sidewalks on their property.

ORDINANCES of PUBLIC INTEREST
ANIMALS - It is unlawful for any dog to run at large upon any public ground or on any private property other than that of the owner.
ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE - 610-373-8830 - Call the Animal Rescue Leagued for any stray, wild or unlicensed animal you may see in your neighborhood.
SIGNS - Type and sizes of signs are regulated by the Township Zoning Ordinance. Location, size and duration of all signs, including temporary signs, must be approved by the Zoning Office. Remember to remove all yard sale signs promptly.
WEEDS - Overgrown grass and weeds in excess of 12 inches in height is not permitted.
TRASH - Trash is hauled by private haulers hired by property owners.
